RAVENWOOD WALL REPLACEMENT PROJECT
This article is to inform you about the upcoming Ravenwood retaining wall replacement project.
It has been determined by professionals, contractors and structural engineers that the wall must be removed and replaced as the structural integrity of the wall is compromised. This project is vital for maintaining the integrity and safety of our community infrastructure. Below are the key details you need to know:
Project Overview-
Project Managed By: Durand Architectural Engineering - Contractor:United Trades Construction, Inc.
AccessSidewalks in the construction area will be closed for safety, marked with caution tape and safety cones.
Timeline and Road Closures-
Work Schedule: -Start Date: Approximately July 10th, awaiting permit from city. - Days: Monday through Friday - Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - Exclusions: Weekends and holidays - Duration: Estimated 3-5 weeks

MAINTAINING OUR ASSOCIATION’S WALLS
While renovating the association’s walls, we’ve noticed that some plant materials, like overhanging branches and nearby trees or roots, are causing damage to the association’s walls. This pertains to all properties that border the Association’s walls and fences (bordering the park, Walnut, Culver, school, pool & block end concrete fences)
Plants and/or Trees can cause:-
Structural Damage: Roots can crack wall foundations.-
Drainage Issues: Roots block drainage, causing flooding.
What You Can Do:
1. Trim Regularly: Keep branches away from walls.
2. Plant Strategically: Plant trees far from walls.
3. Monitor Roots: Watch root growth and consult an arborist if needed.
4. Remove Problematic Plants: Replace damaging plants with less invasive species.
Please inspect and ensure that all plant material and trees are cut back and away from the Association’s walls. We appreciate your immediate attention.
